The insurance industry is likely to suffer losses of tens of billions of dollars from damage inflicted by Hurricane Milton last week, according to early estimates.
Hurricane Milton was the thirteenth named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season and the fifth to make landfall, following shortly on the heels of Hurricane Helene, which hit the southeastern
