Chaucer CEO exits to pursue ‘opportunities’

John Fowle has stepped down as group CEO of Chaucer, after six years in the top job, to “pursue other opportunities”.

Fowle’s exit comes five years after China Re bought the London-based and Lloyd’s-focused specialty reinsurance business for around $950m (£766m) from The Hanover, which acquired Chaucer back in 2011.
