Reinsurance pricing pressure to continue in 2015
Ratings agency AM Best is forecasting reinsurance pricing to remain under pressure in 2015 given continued pressure from alternative capital and the lack of a price-changing event in the past few years.
For the 1 January 2015 renewal period a decline in reinsurance pricing of between 5% and 15% was reported, AM Best said.
AM Best is also predicting merger and acquisition deals to continue this year.
