New rules for reinsurance writers in India

India’s supervisory authority, the IRDA, has issued new regulatory requirements for reinsurers writing cross border risks in the country.

Due to come into effect from 1 April 2012, the guidelines include an information template to be completed by firms writing reinsurance business emanating from India without having a physical presence
