Mapfre Re launches Paris branch

Mapfre Re has opened a new office in Paris.

The Spanish-based firm also has reinsurance officers in Athens, Brussels, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Milan and Munich

The new branch, based opposite the Louvre Museum, will be led by Jean Pierre Aldon.

According to Mapfre, the move is designed to "consolidate its position as a reinsurer in the region, making it easily accessible to customers".

Mapfre Re is ranked 14th in the world reinsurance league, according to the rating agencies AM Best and Standard & Poor's.
