Prudential starts $21bn delayed offering
Rights' offer to fund the purchase of AIG’s Asian unit, AIA, after a 12-day delay has fuelled speculation that the deal will fail.
Prudential will sell investors 11 new shares for every two they already own at 104 pence each, 81% less than the closing price on 14 May, the London-based company said in a statement.
