Sandy Scott, chief executive of the Chartered Insurance Institute and driving force behind the General Insurance Taskforce talks to Ant Gould about the challenges and opportunities facing the general insurance industry in its quest to embrace professionalism.

The video interview, available online now, follows on from the launch last week of a joint Post Magazine and Professional Broking campaign - Investing in the Profession - designed to promote professionalism across the general insurance sector.

Mr Scott, says in the interview that brokers have a key role in helping to rebuild trust and confidence in the property and casualty market, pointing out that a lot of brokers, including Perkins Slade, Thomas Carroll, Smart & Cook, Alec Finch and Lockton have already gained chartered status.
