Medco starts consultation on whiplash portal

Medco has already started consulting over the creation of a 'litigants in person' portal on the back of the government's whiplash Bill.

Medco will be working alongside the Ministry of Justice to establish the portal, which is hoped will go live in 2020, a year after the Civil Liability Bill is expected to come into force.

EU AI Act may block smaller insurtechs from market entry

Smaller insurtechs in the artificial intelligence sector will be subject to additional regulatory oversight due to the European Union AI Act, which may prevent them from making it into the market, according to Sixfold CEO Alex Schmelkin.
