Government raises £1.35bn from IPT 'stealth tax'
The government raised £1.35bn from the Insurance Premium Tax in August, the highest amount ever.
The recent analysis of the Treasury figures by the trade body, the Association of British Insurers saw IPT raised £1.35bn in August, the highest amount ever and £200m more than it raised in August
