Ireland gets tough on boards with new code
The Central Bank of Ireland has ruled that the "buck stops" with companies' boards of directors amid publication of a new set of corporate governance practices.
The new code sets out minimum statutory requirements on how Irish banks and insurers should organise governance of their institutions.
