FSA outlines tough stance on PPI market

The Financial Services Authority has published a policy statement confirming a package of measures to protect consumers in the Payment Protection Insurance market.

The package aims to ensure customers are treated more fairly when complaining about PPI and better when buying the product.

The FSA has so far taken action against 24 firms and individuals for PPI

FCA looking to address issues on claims definitions

Andrew Ruddle, the Financial Conduct Authority’s interim head of the department for insurance market analysis and policy, has said the regulator is looking at addressing issues about different claims definitions within insurance.
