BDO says insurers reduce large fraud

The finance and insurance sector accounted for 27% of reported fraud in 2011, compared with 56% in 2010, according to BDO’s annual Fraud Track.

The insurance figure is its lowest percentage in the past five years. Overall fraud has grown 50%, to more than £2bn (£2 095 341 000), BDO said.
