Turkey quake to cost as much as $200m
Catastrophe risk modelling firm Equecat has said the insured loss estimate for the 7.2 magnitude earthquake in eastern Turkey is in the range of $100m to $200m.
Total economic damage is estimated in the low single-digit billions (USD). Total economic damage is estimated at approximately one-tenth of that from the 1999 M7.6 Izmit earthquake in western Turkey
