London Mayor must tackle flood risks
The London Assembly’s environment committee has demanded Mayor Boris Johnson take action to reduce the serious risk of flood damage and potential loss of life London faces from severe rainfall.
The report, For a Rainy Day, warns that if London gets rainfall similar to that which caused flooding elsewhere in the UK in 2007, some streets could flood within minutes and rivers soon after. Lives
