LMA: industry powerless against pirates
The Lloyd's Market Association has insisted the insurance industry is powerless to stop the growing threat of piracy off the Somali coast.
Almost 600 crew members and 28 vessels are currently being held by Somali pirates, according to the LMA, with approximately 640 vessels attacked since 2008.
