Helphire sees profits fall despite cutting half of staff

Accident management firm Helphire has cut more than half its workforce since launching a business restructure in 2008.

In its results for the six months ended 31 December 2010, the company revealed it had let 408 staff go during this period, bringing its headcount below 1500. In 2008, Helphire had more than 3000
