Spending Review 2010: Local authority funding cut 28%
Chancellor George Osborne has cut local government funding by 28% over the next four years but has vowed to give councils more financial control.
The cuts made under the Spending Review will see councils lose around 7% off their spending power each year until 2014/15 but the ring-fencing of local government revenue grants will end in April 2011
