Flood Bill gains Royal Assent
The Flood and Water Management Bill has gained Royal Assent after passing through the House of Commons and House of Lords earlier this week.
The act implements key recommendations of Sir Michael Pitt's review of the summer 2007 flood was sped up to be passed before the dissolution of Parliament on Monday.
