IRM delegates wary of Enron repeat
In a live vote today at the Institute of Risk Management’s annual Risk Forum the 94% of the 350 attendees said that they believe that the legislative changes enacted since the demise of Enron have not been sufficient to stop a similar scandal occurring again, and 86% believe that another “Enron” will occur in the next five years.
“There is no doubt that the keynote address from Lynn Brewer, one of the Enron whistleblowers, dispelled any preconceptions our audience might have had that Enron was an isolated event” commented
