Biba and Unlock call on insurers to rethink ex-offender policy
The British Insurance Brokers Association (Biba) and Unlock, the National Association of Reformed Offenders, have come together to call on the insurance industry to take a more flexible approach to insuring people with convictions in their past.
Statistics show that there are currently 7.3 million people listed in the UK Government Offender Index, equal to one fifth of the UK working population. In 2004, the number of new convictions reached
