Japanese insurance giants in merger talks - reports
Japanese insurance giants Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group Holdings, Aioi Insurance. and Nissay Dowa General Insurance are in talks over a monster merger after their share price collapsed earlier this year, CNN has reported.
The TV station said that the three companies aim to reach a basic agreement by March 2009, a company source said, which would produce the country's largest non-life insurer.
