CII calls for more confidence in industry

Improving confidence among customers, regulators and politicians must be the key issue for both general and life insurers in the year ahead. This is the message 600 delegates at the Chartered Insurance Institute’s (CII) London road show heard yesterday from the institute’s director general, Dr Sandy Scott.

Speaking to a packed audience of CII members drawn from the London market, Dr Scott said:

“An effective insurance market must be built on confidence. Customers, be they individuals in the retail market

Willis warns 7 in 10 businesses are underinsured
