Munich Re posts latest results, bolsters subsidiary
Munich Re has announced that it made a profit of €365m in the third quarter of 2004, taking the company to a profit of €1.5bn for the first nine months of the year, up substantially on the loss of €0.5bn it made over the same period of 2003.
Although the third quarter was hit by €550m in windstorm losses from a series of hurricanes and typhoons, the company said that it had been able to keep its claims burden down through increasedOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
