Marsh not interested in counterbidding for Benfield
Marsh & McLennan, the US financial services company that owns brokers Marsh and reinsurance Guy Carpenter, has said it has "no interest" in pursuing a counterbid for UK reinsurance broker Benfield.
"We are not interested in pursuing a counterbid for Benfield," said a spokesperson for Marsh.
MMC were thought to have been pipped for the post by Aon in the takeover of Aon, after Benfield directors
