Analysts predict bodyshops in steep decline
Research company Trend Tracker has forecasted a decline of over one-fifth in the number of body shops over the next five years, leading to seasonal and regional shortfalls in repair capacity by 2010.
According to the biennial UK car body repair market report, an 18% increase in the UK’s car population since 1998 has been accompanied by a growth in the volume of repairs of only 1%.
