AIG downgraded by S&P

AIG has been downgraded by US ratings agency Standard and Poors after posting a $7.8bn loss in the first quarter of the year.

S&P lowered its counterparty credit ratings on AIG and several of its subsidiaries with ratings that are based on AIG guarantees to 'AA-/A-1+' from 'AA/A-1+’.

S&P noted that AIG’s loss included post
