Japan's Fuji Fire changes strategy; 600 jobs to go

(BESTWIRE) - Japan's Fuji Fire and Marine Insurance Co. Ltd. [85251] unveiled a strategic plan to rebuild its business with cost cuts, additional capital management cooperation with partners including American International Group [18540] and a shift in marketing targets, the insurer said.

The company reported a loss of 55.4 billion yen (US$570.1 million) in the first three quarters of the 2008 fiscal year which ends March 31.
