Chilton dismisses Nymex contracts
Benfield chief executive Grahame Chilton has dismissed the forthcoming Nymex-CME ‘Re-Ex Index’ tradable contracts as merely a revamp of a similar scheme his company had in the early nineties. “I think the world’s moved on since then,” he said in a interview with Reinsurance editor Mark Geoghegan.
“I don’t particularly agree with the way it’s being done. It seems to be raking up an idea we had about 15 years ago and trying to make it a new idea,” he said as part of a broader commentary
