Insurer announces plans to close all UK district offices
Co-operative Insurance Society today announced that following the modernisation review announced in July it plans to close all 106 distrcit offices by the end of 2005 with all existing customer contact and administration work transferred to its head office complex in Manchester. The company added that it has begun consultation with the unions with a view to doing this.
In a statement CIS added: “The review considered the work carried out within its district offices, which were originally designed not as CIS customer contact points but as back office supportOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
