New Benfield report on Bermuda
Despite last year’s record storms, Bermuda’s property reinsurance rates continued to decline during the first quarter of 2005 whilst casualty pricing appeared to stabilise according to the latest Bermuda Quarterly report (BBQ) from Benfield.
The report notes that overall growth stalled as gross written premiums by Bermuda’s leading reinsurers increased by only 2 percent to $16.4bn.
