Fast-track EU Reinsurance Directive stalls
The European Parliament has withdrawn the EU Directive that would have created a harmonsied reinsurance market from this week's agenda - following delays in the directive's translation - raising fears it could now miss the Council of Ministers crucial meeting on 7 June.
The European Parliament was due to adopt its position on the directive tomorrow. However the directive has been withdrawn from the European Parliament's agenda and put back to the next session, whichOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
