Lloyd's syndicates tempt fate with AGM reports

Three Lloyd's insurers have issued AGM statements that confirm the very positive trading conditions for the market so far in 2006, according to analysts Keefe Bruyette and Woods. But it warned that the full year outcome, of course, hangs much on how hard the wind blows in the Gulf and, with water temperatures rising, some caution is wise. However, after the sharp setbacks of recent weeks, there are some shares here that we believe look very cheap, almost whatever happens. Catlin, Wellington, Kiln and Chaucer are our picks.
