Swiss Re replaces Ferguson as head of financial services
Swiss Re has confirmed that it has parted company with its head of financial services Roger Ferguson ending months of speculation that he had been ousted following the reinsurance giant’s sub-prime write-downs of autumn 2007. Swiss Re said Mr Ferguson had accepted a senior position at a major financial institution.
Succeeding Ferguson Swiss Re has appointed David Blumer as head of financial markets and member of the executive committee effective from May 2008.
