Axa UK reports GI growth

Axa UK today reported that its underlying earnings increased 138% to £99m from £41m for the first six months of 2004, posting a combined ratio of 98.5%, an improvement of 3.9 points. UK gross revenues increased by 4% to £3.6 bn.

In a stamement Axa added total revenue in Axa UK’s general businesses increased from £1.54bn to £1.62 bn driven by strong premium rate growth in liability classes and higher average premiums in health
