Insured losses from severe weather systems like tornadoes have already passed the $1bn mark in the first three months of 2008, a report from AM Best shows.
“Already in 2008, insured losses from severe weather systems have surpassed $1bn – about $850m stemming from the "Super Tuesday Tornado Outbreak” in the mid-South on 5 Feb and 6 Feb,” said the report
