XL surprises with magnitude of Kyrill loss
Bermudian (re)insurer XL has surprised analysts by unveiling loss estimates from windstorm Kyrill of $60m to $75m.
In a note to investors, analysts at Keefe Bruyette and Woods (KBW) downgraded its 2007 earnings estimates for XL by 3% on the news, reflecting the degree that the Kyrill loss had exceeded its
