Building close to collapse after Manchester fire
A large section of Manchester city centre remained closed off this afternoon after more than 120 firefighters tackled two blazes in commercial buildings. According to BBC news although the initial fire on Dale Street was brought under control, embers blew to an apartment block opposite and started a second blaze.
The first building was gutted by the fire and is in danger of collapse, according to firefighters. There are also unconfirmed reports that there may be a person trapped inside the property.
