Amlin set for record profits

Amlin has forecast record profits for its 2003 syndicate year of account and indicated its result for the year ended 31 December 2005 will be materially ahead of market expectations.

The forecasts are as follows:

YOA 2003: Capactiy £1bn; Amlin ownership 86.2%; forecast 25.4%; previous forecast (21% to 26%)

YOA 2004: Capactity £1bn; Amlin ownership 100%; forecast 9.0% to 14.0%
