ABI claims fraud worth £3.5m a week is being detected
Figures issued today by the Association of British Insurers reveal a dramatic rise in the value of fraudulent insurance claims being detected by insurers, with dishonest claims totalling over £3.5 million a week now being exposed.
A survey by the ABI of insurers covering two-thirds of the general insurance market showed that fraudulent claims valued at £200million were uncovered in 2004. This 95% rise on 2002 reflects increasedOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
