Aspen Q1 net income drops 33%
Aspen, the US (re)insurer, reported first quarter net income tumbled over 33% due to the abudance of medium to single risk losses in the first three months of the year.
Aspen said that net income after tax fell to $81.2m from $121.9m in the corresponding period last year.
Net earned premiums dropped over 10% to $391.6m from $439m this time last year.
