AM Best affirms Aspen and points to bumper 2006
Bermudian (re)insurer Aspen Insurance Limited (AIL) has been affirmed at a financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and issuer credit rating of “a-” by AM Best . The agency has removed the ratings from under review with negative implications. The outlook for both ratings is stable.
AM Best says it believes Aspen’s risk-adjusted capitalisation is likely to be supportive of the current rating, factoring the $560m capital injection from its parent between October and December 2005
