American Surety Holdings in Q3 net loss of $4.3m
American Surety Holdings, the US (re)insurer said that its net loss for the third quarter of 2008 was $4.3m.
Although net premiums written for the third quarter jumped 25% to $40.5m and net premiums earned for the same period jumped 14% to $14.7m, the positive underwriting result was pared by investment
