Oak speculation; wrong end of the stick

Following the acquisition of Lloyd’s broker Somerville Insurance Services by the Lark Group, speculation has arisen that Oak Underwriting, also owned by SIS’s parent company the Somerville Group, may be for sale. However, senior management at Oak and Somerville have stated the high net worth insurer is not for sale.

Oak managing director Bob Trott retorted: "I can categorically deny the rumours circulating that Oak is for sale. This speculation is without foundation and has occurred after Lark bought Somerville
