The European Commission has published a proposal on cross-border healthcare, aimed at enhancing the rights of European Union citizens when receiving medical treatment in other EU countries.
While welcoming the EC’s efforts to improve patients’ rights, the CEA, the European insurance and reinsurance federation, has warned that introducing EU-wide compulsory insurance would not guarantee
