Insurers sue over WTC shortfall claim

A group of 10 (re)insurers that includes members of Lloyd’s of London is suing the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey over a claim by the Authority that it is separately insured for a $2.1bn shortfall in Silverstein property insurance.

The group includes underwriters at Lloyd’s, Axa Global Risks, Copenhagen Reinsurance Company, Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK) Houston Casualty Company, QBE International Insurance, Sirius International
