American insurers get subpoenas in probe over fees
New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer’s office has issued subpoenas to several major insurance companies in his probe of fees received by insurance brokers, the New York Times said.
A spokesman for the Hartford Financial Services Group said the company has received a subpoena. Chubb also said after the close of the market yesterday that it had received a subpoena.
