IUMI reports surge in ship total losses
Ship total losses have dramatically increased, according to figures release today by the International Union of Marine Insurance.
The total loss figure for ships of at least 500 gross tons has jumped from an early estimate of 67 to 92. In 2007, 82 total losses have been reported so far, compared to 67 at the same point in 2006.
