W Virginia AG sues Acordia over commissions
West Virginia attorney general Darrell McGraw has announced that the state is suing Acordia of West Virginia, and its parent, Acordia, following allegations that the companies received millions of dollars in hidden "contingent commissions" paid to them by insurance companies for steering business their way.
The two companies act as brokers for their clients and the insurance companies that actually issue the policies of insurance.
