RICS campaign against ill-advised extension of FSA powers

The Royal Institute for Chartered Surveyors has launched a campaign against the new regulations from the Financial Services Authority, which police businesses with even the most incidental dealings with insurance services, and is encouraging members to write to the government about the issue.

The government has decided to go further than the requirements of a recent EU directive and RICS said this will hit up to 150,000 UK businesses.
