Court rules on HIH contracts
The New South Wales Supreme Court has approved a deed that will return approximately Aus$300m to the liquidators of collapsed Australian insurance company HIH.
The deed will cancel between 10 and 15 reinsurance agreements entered into by HIH in 1998, which involved the company paying premiums to Hannover Reinsurance, as well as other payments to TreatyOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
